My journey behind my camera began with the desire to capture my own family’s special moments. Today, I extend my passion to other families, helping them capture their stories with the same love and dedication as I have when capturing my own little loves. Based in Newcastle, I pride myself in creating beautiful, intimate portraits that reflect the soul of motherhood and family connections.

I didn’t always know what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Really, I have always just had a simple dream. From ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to be a mother and create my own little family to cherish and love. Career aspirations were never particularly strong, and I tried a few things only to find they were not for me.

My family dream has come true, with my loving husband of 7 years and my two sweet little boys, who make my heart burst on the daily (but let’s keep it real, they come with a fair share of frustrations too – raising kids is hard!). Residing in a cosy corner of Newcastle, our home is our sanctuary, filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the occasional spin of vinyl records. I treasure the simple joys — baking in our kitchen, tending to our little garden, walking our sweet little dog Hazel and crafting a safe, loving environment for my family.

Growing up, I was always the one with a camera in hand, or flicking through the family photo albums. I just love the way a photograph can tell a story, a small window into the past that seemingly stops time for a moment. It was this love of photographs, along with my innate desire to create and my journey into motherhood that led to Astrid Elizabeth Photography being born.

My approach to photography is deeply influenced by my own experiences as a mother. I’m a softly-spoken daydreamer, a creative soul at heart and I understand the importance of capturing those tiny yet greatly significant details

From your first enquiry to the delivery of your photographs, I've streamlined our process to be easy and stress free. Just send me an enquiry through my contact page, pick a date, and let’s get you booked in. No stress, no fuss—just beautiful photos.

Once booked, you'll receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you and your vision for the session. When it comes to our session, think of it as a relaxed hangout with a side of photography. I'll give you some gentle direction, but mostly, I'm here to capture your real, raw, authentic moments—the ones that make your heart swell.

My client closet is a curated collection of magical dresses, newborn outfits, and cosy blankets designed to enhance your experience on our shoot together. Whether you're looking for a flowy gown to twirl in during your maternity session or a sweet ensemble for your newborn, my client closet has something for every mum & bub. I aim to remove the stress of finding the perfect outfit and take the hassle of outfit planning off your plate, meaning that you can focus on what really matters on the day.
